HARYANA BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (HBSE) is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified open schooling board that aims to cater to the varied academic needs of the divergent group of students to Secondary/Senior Secondary level and it is established Under Indian Society Act 1882 & Registered with planning commission & MHRD (New Delhi), Govt. of India.

The Board head office is situated at Centre of India (geographical centre of India) District - Karnal, Haryana. The HBSE is reputed to disseminate life oriented education and job oriented Modern education. The board offers secondary & senior secondary programme in regular, Private & Open Schooling mode.

HBSE is the only Board who has introduced the Door Step education for the candidate who are not able even to go school. For Such Candidates Board Decide to setup open schooling branch which provide the secondary & senior secondary education at their door step. HBSE also provided free education to candidates who belong from tribal areas, rural areas, below poority line, widow, handicaps.

HBSE is set up by the SR Act. by the state government, as per the recognition policy of the ministry of education (formerly MHRD). Hence the secondary or senior secondary school certificate issued by HBSE is eligible for higher studies as well as employment.
